…and no, I’m not talking about Zombie Strippers giving table dances.
I’m talking about an incredible new zombie roleplaying game I’ve almost finished! Dust off that copy of the Ultimate Zombie Survival Handbook, ’cause you’re gonna need it. You play the part of a survivor in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, fighting to stay alive. Grisly, walking corpses wander the streets, society crumbles and collapses, and a few heroes rise to the occasion to make sure that humanity survives the undead holocaust.
So far, I’ve created over fifty original illustrations for the book. This will be a standalone book, including everything you need to play the game (except for dice, paper, pencil, and braaaaiiiiins). The mechanics are based on the d20 Modern system, with notable modifications.
Of course, we wouldn’t send you out against armies of the undead unarmed. You’ll be able to scavenge weapons, equipment, and other useful bits of refuse from the wreckage of civilization. You’ll also learn new skills, tricks, and abilities to make you more than a match for the average mindless zombie. Too bad that’s not all you’ll be up against…..
Marty’s dad called me from Youngstown this morning, while Marty was away from his phone:
“I was driving down the freeway today,” he said to me, “and I saw a Youngstown Crab Company billboard. And right up there is one of the crabs Marty drew, bigger than life.”
He’s going to try to send us pictures, and we’ll take a few if it’s still up when we’re in Youngstown at the end of April. If you see it, will you take a picture? Marty is just gonna bust.
Holy hell, what a weekend! Megan and I went to Aggiecon in College Station this weekend, and we had an amazing time. I entered pieces into the art show (several of which were sold!). I won the Iron Artist competition (through sheer force of cheesecake and pandering). I met a lot of cool people from all walks of sci-fi/fantasy/gaming/anime/cosplay geekery. Thanks to everyone who stopped to talk to me, take a look through my sketchbook, and especially to all of you Aggieconners who have stopped here at my site to take a look around! (I seeeee you!) If this is your first time here, please leave me a comment and tell me what you think of everything. I love feedback. (^_^)
The second dose of awesomeness hit me when I got home and finally caught up on e-mails. Lo and behold, my Fundable Project finally reached its goal! You know what that means, don’t you? Now I get to start on the drawing! I’m still waiting on a few people to get me their words to include in the picture. I can’t start without them, so I’ll have to start tracking those down! I can’t wait to begin work on this thing! So, thank you to everyone who pledged donations and made this project possible. I’m gonna work hard to make it all worth it! (O_~) I’ll keep you updated, and I’ll let you know when the next opportunity arises to make me your art bitch.
